Road Trip Ready!

We’ve come a long way from daydreaming about our honeymoon and first trip on the road. It started out as a trip to New Zealand. Then morphed into an adventure filled 23 day long road trip. We researched and researched purchasing some sort of camper. From vans to buses, we finally landed on the Chesapeake Light Craft Teardrop Trailer. If anyone knows us, Brett and I love to build things from nothing. This camper kit provided us the opportunity to build something that will be a part of our family for a long time to come AND we get make it how we want. The design of it is simple, but will provide us a lot of opportunity to explore during our honeymoon and beyond.

Some days have been overwhelming as we plan this 3,000 mile trip, but most days have been exciting. Deciding campgrounds to stay at or what we will be doing in the wilderness, cities, and on the road has been exhilarating. Our days in cities will be determined by the locals as we ask them the “best thing to do” that day, while our days on the road will be filled with podcasts and more daydreaming.
